The BEST Emailing Strategies To Get More Responses

Emailing Strategies To Get More Responses

Most emails are turned down for several reasons. Creating an email that can intrigue a prospect requires great thought. So here are 7 emailing strategies to more responses.

1. Subject Line

The subject line is the very first part of your email that a prospect will see. With the subject line, your ultimate goal is to get the prospect to open the email. One of the common aspects of marketing intended emails that don’t get opened is indicating the purpose of the email. Instead, start the email with a subject line intending that you have a question. The question based subject line will get more prospects to open your email.

2. Introduction

The introduction is where you make your first impression. Rather than introducing who you are, focus on who they are. Begin your introduction with a compliment on their website, one of their social media posts, or of their business itself. This will trigger a positive reaction to your email and present you as someone with positive characteristics.

3. Pain Point

After your introduction, state a concern you have for the prospect, an issue they may have whether or not they are aware. With a pain point, your prospect will then know there is an issue they are undergoing and/or that others notice them. If your subject line uses a question, this would be the time to include your question.

4. Solution

Now that you uncovered their issue, you have the opportunity to get the prospect to do what you want. Your intention for the email should be a solution to the problem they have. Depending on your business, you will have a target for where you want your lead to go. You can offer your prospect to get on a call which is a great way to communicate with a lead. Another place to direct your lead can be your website. You can get prospects to view your site by mentioning in the email that your site shows more of what your business offers.

5. Incentives

To give your prospect a reason to use your products/services, give an incentive. Discounts, referral bonuses, freebies, etc. can all give your prospect a reason to follow through with using your company. Here are some examples: a repair store can do a free inspection, a restaurant can give a discount on a certain item, a beauty product can give you in store credit for each referral they make.

6. No Response

There can be times where you do not get a response from the prospect. This could be for several reasons and the best thing to do is review your email and reach out to the prospect again. Reach out up to three times for emails that were sent out without a response. The next email should leave off where the previous email was at. Rather than sending the exact same email, mention that they never claimed their incentive/responded and reiterate in different wording how you can be beneficial to them.

7. Personalize And Be Genuine

When you are sending out an email using scripts, you have less of a chance of creating that connection with your prospect. Personalize your emails giving incentives that work for that prospect, using that introduction we mentioned earlier, and making it not appear as spam. Also be genuine, make your customer feel as if you crafted your email word for word. Your entire email does not have to be personalized, so the script portion of your email is where you have to make sure it feels genuine as it is being sent to multiple people. Also, conclude the email using your name rather than the company name.
